A scented soy candle inside a hand-beaten brass and bronze bell, made in Uttarakhand. The vessel takes the shape of the temple bells that hang at the entrance to a Himalayan courtyard or a roadside shrine, the kind you reach up and ring on the way in.

Hand-poured by a small candlemaker in the foothills. The bell is forged by smiths from the Lohar community nearby, who have shaped temple and household bells in copper, bronze and brass for generations. Each finish is one of a kind.

Available in assorted Himalayan fragrances, one scent per candle. When the wax is finished, the bell stays: refill it with a tea light, keep small things in it, or leave it on a shelf.

Bulk orders for weddings, events and corporate gifting on request.

Product Story

We found her by accident. A candlemaker in Uttarakhand, running a small home business while caring for her mother through illness. She makes all sorts of candles you can imagine, and this one is poured into bells, her business partner and another woman entrepreneur, sourced from Lohar smiths down the road, the same community that has been forging temple and household bells in those hills for generations.

The bells are hand-beaten from copper, bronze, and brass, then left to take on their own patina from heat and air. No two finishes match. The wax is poured slowly, in small batches, with fragrances chosen to settle into a room rather than fill it.
