September 2025: Table of Belonging, New Launches and New Life

I am Urvi, the founder of Vaarsa London. Once a month I write about building this brand. September felt like a month of chapters: some closing, some opening, and some just beginning.

Gathering at the Table

We started the month with a collaboration with Lettuce Sustain, a vegan supper club here in London. Together, we hosted a Desi Afternoon Tea experience, where a plant-based menu met a table of belonging dressed in Vaarsa pieces.

We featured our green jungle kantha tablecloth to celebrate the plant-forward spirit of the event, repurposed brass jars as vases to add South Asian charm, and added Himalayan candles to celebrate the seasonal shift from summer to autumn.

New Arrivals

We also introduced three new objects this month:

• the Filter Coffee Set, a ritual for South Indian filter coffee lovers;
• the Marble Inlay Dish, a luxurious accent for bathroom or entryway; and
• the Brass Candle, our take on festive decor.

Each piece is designed to blend tradition with modern living.

The Sweetest Arrival of All

Just as September was winding down, my husband and I welcomed our son, Ansh, into the world. Vaarsa has always been more than a shop for me. It is a reflection of my journey, and this new chapter is no different. I am both excited and a little overwhelmed as I learn to balance motherhood with building this brand, and deeply grateful for this community that has made space for both.

I slowed down a little towards the end of the month, but we will continue shipping as usual for the upcoming festive season.
