Indians cracked spice storage generations ago.

The masala dabba is not a novelty kitchen item. It is a system. Seven bowls, one lid, no fumbling through a cupboard of mismatched jars. Every Indian kitchen has one. Every cook who has used one wonders how they ever lived without it. This does not belong in a culture aisle. It belongs next to your hob.

Care

Hand wash with mild soap and dry immediately to avoid water spots. Do not use a dishwasher or abrasive materials. Over time, the brass may develop a vintage patina, but a simple brass cleaner will restore its shine if desired.

The maker

Handcrafted in Moradabad, the renowned "Brass City of India," this piece is a tribute to India’s rich brassware tradition. Artisans here have been perfecting this craft for centuries, creating pieces that blend functionality with timeless beauty. More than just a practical kitchen tool, this is a piece of heritage, built to last and be passed down for generations.

Brass Care

Keeping your food grade brass pieces from Vaarsa London is easier than you think. Simple steps you can use:

📌Start by gently emptying the piece and hand-washing the residue.

📌Then, for the deep clean mix Pitambari powder with a little water to make a thick paste. Apply it on the brass in gentle circular motions. Let it sit for a minute then rub again, especially over tarnished spots. It’s normal if the paste darkens, that means it’s working.

📌Rinse thoroughly with water and dry completely using a soft microfibre cloth before you use it again.

And that’s it. Your brass, cleaned, cared for, and glowing like new.
