Carved from a single block of Makrana marble, the white stone that built the Taj Mahal, this scalloped flower plate has petal-shaped edges that echo a lotus opening in full light. The marble is quarried in Makrana, Rajasthan, and hand-carved by artisans in Agra. Makrana has a high calcium-carbonate content that gives a natural translucency and a soft, candlelit glow. No two plates are identical. The veining is the stone's own story.

Product Story

Sourced directly from the quarries of Makrana, Rajasthan — the same mines that have supplied India's greatest monuments for over 1,500 years — this marble is among the finest in the world. The scalloped edges are hand-chiselled by third-generation stone masons in Agra, the same city where their forefathers helped build the Taj Mahal.
