The lazy daisy stitch is one of the oldest embroidery stitches in the world. A single loop of thread, pulled through fabric, held in place by a tiny anchor. Simple enough to teach a child. Difficult enough to master over a lifetime. The artisans who made this cushion cover use it to build entire gardens, freehand, stitch by stitch, without a pattern drawn on the cloth. The result is a surface that is textured, dense, and made to be touched. These are not cushions you protect from use. They are made to be sat on, leaned against, and lived with.
